Greetings Crusader Families, 

My name is Ashley Thomas, and I am honored to begin my first year serving as the Campus Student Success Specialist at David Crockett Elementary. As an educator, mentor, and advocate for children and families, I am passionate about creating meaningful relationships that help every student feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. I am also proud to call Baytown home, where I live with my amazing husband and our three beautiful children. My commitment to this work extends beyond the walls of our school. 

Mission 

My mission is to help remove barriers that impact student success by connecting students and families with the resources, encouragement, and support they need to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. I believe that when schools, families, and the community work together, every child can reach their fullest potential. As the CS3, I look forward to partnering with our Crusader families through family engagement initiatives, classroom connections, parent workshops, volunteer opportunities, community partnerships, and programs that strengthen the connection between home and school.

I am committed to building trusting relationships with our students, families, staff, and community while creating opportunities that inspire growth, resilience, and success. I will collaborate with administrators, teachers, counselors, and community partners to identify student needs, remove barriers to learning, and celebrate student achievement. Together, we will cultivate a supportive school culture where every Crusader feels a sense of belonging and is equipped to flourish! I firmly believe that when we pour into our children, we invest in the future of our community. It is my privilege to walk alongside our students and families as they learn, grow, and discover all they can become!
